So I have been occasionally juicing, with not much consistency. Not sure if it helped with my progress but having a good diet makes me feel better. There is a saying that as your diet improves, your sensitivity to bad diet increases as well. I can sense very quickly which food makes me feel unwell – starch, carbs, milk, chocolate, tomatoes, etc. And this has helped me a lot to avoid unnecessary inflammation bouts.
Day 2 of celery juicing – had a huge bout of diarrhea after my morning bottle of celery juice. Not sure if it is food poisoning or it is the juice clearing my system. Not a big deal I thought.
Day 3 of juicing – no diarrhea!
Will be continuing this for 1 week, mixed with other fruit/veg juices – apple/carrots are my favorite.
Skinwise – still itchy during nights, especially first few hours of sleep. There is hardly any flaking now, compared to 1-2 months back. Scratched a few bits of skin off my tough spots, oozed, but dried very quickly when I woke up. Skin doesn’t piss me off at all now. In fact I’m rather amazed at the recovery, as it is very visual and observable. Skin breaks from scratching -> drying -> scabbing -> new soft skin in less than 2 days. Seems like my TAT (turnaround time) is 2 and decreasing!
I still have my itchfests during sleep where I would scratch like crazy. Somehow my skin became tough enough to withstand the scratches without breaking. I’d attribute this more to moisturizer withdrawal more than anything, because that is the only thing I’ve done differently from the past.
Looking forward to start exercising in the next week or so.
