Here goes my 2 monthly TSW skin updates! I think I am not as diligent as other TSW warriors in terms of tracking and documenting my skin. Partly because my skin doesn’t really bother me anymore on a daily/short term basis. The pics will compare my current status with my month 1 skin status. Thats the progress for 8 months, without TS and moisturizers. It is slow improvement, considering that I have been active in sports, running, and eating relatively well (still the occasional junk).
Skin improvement is slow and steady. I do think that I am working hard (could have been harder) to get my skin to where it is today – doing the right things, eating relatively well, sleeping ok, exercising, sweating, meditating. Skin has been a non factor so far, as I have been busy with my other projects and life. Elephant skin is slowly thinning and disappearing. As I can already see the progress now, I do not have to worry anymore about the future, as I am confident that my skin will improve to normality, given an extrapolation of progress.
The only times I am irritated with my skin is when I eat badly. I’d know when I wake up scratching my current trouble spot (outside left calf). Today, I use this spot as my “indicator” of how my skin is progressing on a daily basis. If this indicator flares or gets itchy, it means I am having a short term allergic reaction – usually to food. It is quite reliable and indicative that I have done or ate something wrong. Thus its a good feedback system for myself. Soon, this “indicator spot” will recover and get better. No doubts about it. I believe that this trouble spot is just going thru its withdrawal stages (like an onion describe in my previous post on how is topical steroids effects distributed in our body).
So all is good! Hope these TSW skin updates pictures give you TSW warriors a benchmark, as someone who have used clobetasol propionate (Dermovate) on my skin frequently until Oct 13.
